An officer was responding to a domestic call around 9:30 p.m., traveling west on Lewisberry Road in a marked car with his emergency lights activated, when another driver traveling north on York Road failed to stop at a stop sign and drove into the path of the vehicle, police said.

The officer was treated for minor injuries while the other driver was taken to Hershey Medical Center with unknown injuries. The vehicle was a K-9 vehicle, and the K-9, Tazer, was not seriously injured and is doing well, according to his handler, police said.

State police are investigating. Anyone with information is asked to to contact the York barracks at (717) 428-1011.
