York Fair announces first act for 2016

Country singer Chase Rice will perform at the 2016 York Fair on Saturday, Sept. 10.

The singer will perform songs from his four albums starting at 7:30 p.m., according to a news release.

Rice released his first album, "Country As Me," in 2011 and followed it with "Dirt Road Communion," "Ready Set Roll" and "Ignite the Night."

Tickets will go on sale Saturday, Jan. 2, at 8 a.m. They can be bought at the York Fair Box Office, 334 Carlisle Ave, by phone at (717) 848-2033 and online at www.yorkfair.com.

Tickets are $35 for pit — standing on the track — and center plaza and $30, $25 and $20 for the side plaza, center grandstand and side grandstand seating areas, respectively. There is a processing fee for phone, mail and internet orders.

All grandstand show tickets include the gate admission fee with the exception of “will call” tickets.
