Chairs announced for York Go Red For Women luncheon

Josette Myers and Christi Brown have been named chairs of the 2016 York Go Red for Women Luncheon.

Myers

The luncheon, one of many that will be put on by the American Heart Association on National Wear Red Day — on Friday, Feb. 5 — aims to raise money and raise awareness about heart disease.

Myers is area director of marketing operations for HealthSouth. Brown is director of volunteer services for WellSpan Health.

Myers has been at HealthSouth since 2013, a news release states, and has over 20 years of experience in marketing, public relations and development.

Before working at HealthSouth, she was vice president of marketing and community relations at Memorial Hospital.

Myers is on the board of directors for York County's branch of United Way and volunteers on committees for The Salvation Army, The Healthy York County Coalition, and the American Heart Association, the release states.

Brown

Brown oversees more than 2,300 volunteers in addition to other departments, including the hospitality shop, reception services, internship services and auxiliaries within the health system.

She is president of the Junior League of York, Pennsylvania Society of Directors of Volunteer Services treasurer, membership chair for the Women’s Network of York. She is a former board member of Leadership York and served for several years on the campaign cabinet of the United Way of York.

The York Go Red for Women Luncheon is sponsored by WellSpan Heart and Vascular, HealthSouth Rehabilitation of York, Conewago Enterprises, Chloe Eichelberger, Glatfelter Insurance Group, York Traditions Bank, Leon Ness Jewelry Barn, Joel Rosenblatt and Teann Scoggins, and Andrew and Nancy Miller.

The event will be held from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m on Friday, Feb. 5, at the Out Door Country Club.
