Police nab Stewartstown Rutter's robbery suspects
Southern Regional Police say they've arrested two men who robbed a Stewartstown Rutter's with a baseball bat last Wednesday.
Authorities haven't released their names, as they have yet to be charged. Police said there's also charges pending for the third person involved in the robbery, which took place around 11 p.m. at the Rutter's on North Main Street.
Police said two robbers, one wielding a baseball bat, walked into the store and threatened the store clerk while demanding cash and cigarettes.
After getting an undisclosed amount of money and cigarettes, they ran toward Charles Street and got into a parked four-door sedan with a broken rear window, according to police.
Police said law enforcement received tips that led state police to find two of three suspects Monday near Fawn Grove.
When officers tried to pull them over, they took off, leading police on a car chase into Harford County, Maryland, according to police.
After the vehicle became disabled, the two alleged robbers ran, but police soon caught up with them, police said.
