York City staff will collect Christmas trees from Monday, Jan. 4, through Friday, Jan. 15.

Trees must be placed at the regular pickup point by 6 a.m. on your area's designated collection days.

The city asks that residents remove all ornaments, lights, tinsel and tree stands and do not use tree bags.

Trees that are placed for collection after the designated “final collection” will be picked up by the city’s collection contractor as regular trash and will not be chipped for mulch.

Each tree placed for pickup after Jan. 15 will replace one bag of trash in the normal six-bag limit.
