Woman shot outside York City bar

A York City woman suffered non-life-threatening injuries after she was shot outside Pandora's Box bar around closing time early Wednesday morning, according to police.

Police don't yet know who shot Maneca "Mo" Luke, 31, in left upper arm at about 2 a.m., according to Lt. Troy Bankert, who supervises the York City Police detective bureau.

He said officers were called to the bar at 466 E. Market St. around that time for reports of shots fired; when they got there they learned there had been some sort of a physical fight outside the bar.

Bankert said he doesn't know if Luke was involved in the fight, or was just nearby, but that the fight ended when someone fired off some rounds, of which one struck Luke.

After being shot, Luke left the area, and then either she or someone with her called 911 for medical responders, he said.

Officers found seven shell casings outside the bar, Bankert said.

Anyone with information can call York City Police at 846-1234.
