Body of missing Lancaster County hunter found
EMPORIUM, Pa. — A coroner says a 61-year-old Pennsylvania deer hunter whose disappearance prompted a two-day search likely suffered a heart attack while hiking.
Pennlive.com reports Cameron County’s coroner says Linwood Walters’s death was likely prompted by strenuous hiking in the area around his Cameron County hunting camp earlier this week.
The Lancaster County resident’s body was found Wednesday about a mile from his hunting camp in Gibson. More than a hundred searchers combed a large area in the days following his disappearance.
The coroner says Walters had high blood pressure and cholesterol. He says Walters had been exposed to the elements since noon Monday after he was last spotted leaving his hunting camp at 5 a.m.
