PHILADELPHIA — Police say a car in northeast Philadelphia was hit when a weather instrument fell from the sky, prompting the bomb squad to respond.

Philly.com reports police were called Saturday night after witnesses reported seeing a mysterious object attached to a small parachute fall out of the sky and strike the vehicle.

Members of the bomb squad responded and found the object was harmless. No injuries were reported and the vehicle sustained minor damage.

It’s unclear where the weather instrument came from or why it fell.
