Police responded to a stabbing at Wells' apartment at around 8 p.m. and found her fiance Emmanuel David Suesse sitting on the porch with a deep cut to the right shoulder blade that was bleeding profusely, according to police.

Police said Suesse stated he was stabbed during a robbery in front of S&S Produce and ran back to the home.

When police viewed the video surveillance in front of the store they did not find Suesse at the store during the time he alleged he was, police said.

Police then spoke to two people who said they heard yelling and screaming coming from Wells' apartment and what sounded like objects being thrown around, according to police.

Police spoke with Wells at York Hospital; she said she was fighting with her fiance and recalled him beating on her, according to documents.

Police said she said she recalled blacking out and seeing blood and Suesse telling her "you almost killed me."

Wells allowed police to search her apartment, where they found a bloody steak knife in the sink with fingerprints and what appeared to be body tissue on the blade, along with puddles and droplets of blood on the walls and floor, police said.

The kitchen had two glasses on the floor, and there were bloody towels scattered throughout the apartment, police said.

Wells was sent to York County Prison after being unable to post $5,000 bail.
