PHOTOS: Lincoln Charter School's Buddy Bench

York Dispatch

Lincoln Charter School begins the painting process in the building of their Buddy Bench, an idea that originated about a year ago. The bench structure will be located on the playground, and children who are feeling lonely or need a friend are encouraged to go into that space. The school's 29 safety patrol members, also known as Agents of Friendship, are trained to seek out those occupants of the bench space and reach out to them. The shade-providing area will provide chairs and a reading area, as well as games. The space is designed to facilitate friendships and promote the Lion Buddy Safety Patrol Agents' core values.
