Prostitution charges against York pastor dropped
Prostitution charges against Suler Acosta, a former Presbyterian pastor from York City, were dropped on Thursday.
Acosta, 42, was charged with three offenses, including knowingly soliciting prostitution, according to the Frederick County Sheriff's Office.
Acosta resigned from his post as pastor at City Church York a few days after the charges were filed, on Aug. 23, according to the church's Facebook page.
Acosta was part of a sting that: in response to an online ad he traveled to meet a female deputy posing as a prostitute and investigators established probable cause to believe the men were there to solicit sex.
