The Pennsylvania Spiritual Wellness Alliance, in cooperation with Army OneSource and Christ's American Baptist Church, will host "War Trauma: Impact and New Life," a conference for veterans, 9:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m. Saturday at the Windy Hill Senior Center, 1472 Roths Church Road, Spring Grove.

The free event is for all veterans, their families and friends, and interested persons from the community.

The speakers will be Chaplain James D. Johnson, a Vietnam War veteran and author, and Dr. Paula Joan Caplan, founder and director of The Welcome Johnny and Jane Home Project.

Topics will be awareness of the impact of combat trauma and the new life veterans face afterward; how to develop listening faith and civilian community networks; and how to practice three specific follow-up steps.

Participants will receive a five-page workbook and lunch. Walk-ins will be welcome and donations will be accepted.

To register, contact Pastor Todd Witmer at christ-abc@comcast.net or 515-0046.
