Three York City row homes damaged in Monday morning fire

Three row homes on Dallas Street in York City were damaged in a Monday morning fire.

The fire involved 606-610 Dallas St., and originated at 606 Dallas St., which sustained the heaviest damage, according to York City Fire Chief David Michaels.

The fire started under the roof and spread along the front of the roofs of the three homes. The cause of the fire is still under investigation, Michaels said.

The first call came in around 5:45 a.m. after flames were seen coming from the roof of 606 Dallas St., which is located near East South Street.

Fourteen people -- 11 adults and three children -- were temporarily displaced, Michaels said.

There is no damage estimate yet, he said, although it doesn't appear any of the homes were total losses.
