A Conewago Twp. man punched and kicked officers when they attempted to arrest him Friday afternoon, according to Northern York County Regional Police.

Alexander William Scott, 23, will be charged with four counts of aggravated assault, four counts of simple assault, one count each of resisting arrest, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a controlled substance, according to police.

Police were serving an arrest warrant in the 100 block of Locust Point Road when they encountered Scott with a large amount of drug paraphernalia in his room, police said.

According to police, the subject of the warrant was taken into custody without incident but when officers tried to arrest Scott, he punched them in the face and continued to punch and kick officers throughout the ordeal.

Two officers had facial and hand injuries and two other officers had hand and leg injuries, but only one of the officers required medical treatment.

Scott was taken to York Hospital for treatment of his wounds, police said.

An investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information is asked to call (717) 292-3647.
