Springettsbury Twp. Police to hold black Friday blood, food drive

York Countians can take a break from storming the stores Black Friday morning to give some blood and food.

Springettsbury Township Police will hold a blood drive from noon to 6 p.m. Friday, Nov. 27 — the day after Thanksgiving — outside of the department's headquarters at 1501 Mount Zion Road, according to a news release.

The department at the same time will seek non-perishable food donations.

The blood goes to the Central Pennsylvania Blood Bank, and the York County Food Bank gets the food.

Anyone wyho gives both blood and food will be entered to win a Rutter's gift card, the release states.
