York County Solid Waste Authority to offer free electronics recycling events

You can bring any old electronics you aren't allowed to just throw out on the sidewalk to the York County Solid Waste Authority two Saturdays each month, according to a news release from the organization.

From November onward, anyone can bring the items to the authority's Yard Waste Transfer Facility at 58 Flour Mill Road in Manchester Township from 9 a.m. until noon on the first and third Saturdays of every month, the release states. The November dates are Nov. 7 and 21 for the recycling events, which are free.

This program is available for all York county residents, businesses, and non-profit organizations.

York Countians can bring items such as computer parts, mobile phones, circuit boards, radios, the release states.

People bringing items to these events shouldn't bring appliances, furniture, hazardous waste, construction demolition debris or anything containing Freon, according to the release.
