A West Manheim Township man and 4-year-old boy suffered serious head injuries when the ATV they were riding flipped over Thursday afternoon, according to police.

Roy Ginter, 45, was flown by emergency medical helicopter to York Hospital after the crash, which occurred around 5:30 p.m. on private property at 2754 Black Rock Road, according to a news release from West Manheim Township Police. He has been transferred from York Hospital to a different medical facility, according to hospital spokesman Barry Sparks, who said no further information about his condition or location was available.

Police did not release the name of the boy, who was brought to York Hospital by ambulance, the release states.

Police said neither person was wearing a helmet.

Their Polaris ATV flipped over when they were riding up an embankment, according to police.
