Police: Jackson Twp. party hosts gave alcohol to minors

A Jackson Township couple allegedly gave alcohol to more than 20 juveniles during a party on Oct. 18, according to Northern York County Regional Police Department.

David Reese Eaton, 40, and Bree Ann Zutell, 37, of 52 Stone Lane, are charged with 22 counts each of corruption of minors and furnishing or selling alcohol to minors, according to police.

Police were responding to a report of an underage party involving alcohol and drugs at Eaton and Zutell's residence when they could hear juveniles talking about drinking and fighting in the back of the house, according to charging documents.

Police could also see teenagers in the house with alcoholic drinks in their hands, according to the documents.

When police entered the home, Zutell, the homeowner, said she did not buy the alcohol and was unaware of the number of juveniles in the house, police said.

Police saw numerous bottles and cans of beer, coolers of beer and wine bottles inside and outside the house, charging documents state.

When police entered the basement and announced that those present would be detained, people in the basement fled through a secondary staircase leading to the backyard, according to police.

Officers were able to follow them into the backyard, where they were detained. Police tested blood-alcohol content for several of the teens, many of whom admitted to drinking and had alcohol in their systems.

One of the juveniles, who was found passed out, later fell down the steps when walking, according to police. He was too intoxicated to be tested, police said.

During the investigation, police discovered Eaton, also a resident at the home, was present and aware of juveniles consuming alcohol at his residence, police said.
