This year's Halloween Parade in York, slated for Sunday, will be preceded by the "Angel Amble/Devil Dash 5K Run/Walk," which starts at 1 p.m.

Participants will leave the square and head east to Broad Street. They will turn around and go west to Carlisle Avenue, where they will again turn around and head back to the square.

The parade will start at 2 p.m. at the York Expo Center. Participants will head south on Richland Avenue, then east on Market Street and on to Broad Street, where the parade will end.

During the parade, no traffic may cross Market Street; eastbound motorists should use King Street. Carlisle Avenue will be closed from Market Street to Highland Avenue; motorists will be redirected to King Street from Highland Avenue. In addition, Richland Avenue will be closed from Market Street to Carlisle Avenue.

There will be no parking allowed on the following streets after 11 a.m.:

Market Street from Richland Avenue to Fulton Street.

Richland Avenue between Madison Avenue and Market Street.

Carlisle Avenue between Philadelphia and Market streets.

First block of North and South Broad streets.

Anyone who lives on these streets should have their car moved before the event.

No dogs or bicycles are allowed along the parade route.
