Defensive driving course offered
A one-day course on defensive driving is being sponsored in December by Northern York County Regional Police.
The National Safety Council's defensive-driving program is open to anyone with a valid Pennsylvania driver's license, including to drivers age 55 and older who have attended programs on "coaching the mature driver."
The one-day course will be held from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 5, at the Northern Regional Police station, 1445 E. Canal Road in Dover Township, according to a police news release.
The class is limited to 30 people and will be filled on a first come, first served basis, police said. Participants are required to bring a bagged lunch.
Registration deadline is Friday, Nov. 27, and can be made by calling Northern Regional Police at (717) 292-3647 or by filling out a registration form at the station during normal business hours.
