An 18-year-old man was killed Saturday when the vehicle he was driving ran head-on into a tree around 1:55 p.m. in Chanceford Township, according to the York County Coroner's office.

Hunter Michael Kinard, of the 100 block of Good Road, Airville, was traveling southeast on Furnace road when he crashed into the tree, according to the coroner's office.

Speed is believed to be a factor in the crash.

Kinard, the only one in the vehicle at the time, was not wearing a seatbelt when he drove his Hyundai into a tree, according to the coroner's office.

Kinard was pronounced dead at the scene.

Kinard died of multiple blunt force trauma and there will be no autopsy, according to the coroner's office.

The family has been notified.

Pennsylvania State Police are investigating.
