Registration deadline looms for York Halloween Parade

The deadline to register for the York Halloween Parade is Thursday. Registration and vendor permits, as well as information for those interested in volunteering, are available online at YorkHalloweenParade.com.

Earlier this fall, local students submitted designs for window murals on the themes of "Donut Monster" or "Spooky Donut-scapes," and the winning designs will be painted by art students from Dallastown Area High School under direction of art teacher Tom Myers.

Painting will begin Tuesday morning at up to 23 downtown businesses, organizers say. The window paintings will be displayed until Nov. 2.

The parade will take place 2-4 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 25.

Entrants will march down Market Street from Richland Avenue to Broad Street.

The judging area will be at the York County Administrative Office, at 26 E. Market St.
