Volunteers needed to read to children next week at York County sites

The Retired and Senior Volunteer Program of York County and United Way are in need of volunteers to read to children at five sites in the county from Monday-Friday, Oct. 12-16.

Volunteers can choose a time between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. and a site, including the York WIC Office, Family First Health in York and New Hope Ministries.

Also, anyone who is 55 or older can sign up for RSVP for free. The program is part of the Senior Corps, Foster Grandparents and Senior Companion programs, which are funded by the Corporation for National and Community Service.
