A Carlisle-area man who led police on a chase into York County after stealing a car Monday morning, admitted to having ingested heroin and bath salts, also known as spice or K2, and was in possession of marijuana, according to state police.

Scott Wilbur Tilden, 35, wanted for bank robberies in two counties, fled from police in Cumberland County on Monday morning after carjacking a vehicle there. He made it to York City before crashing into an apartment complex and being arrested by state police, officials said.

He will be facing numerous criminal and traffic offenses, according to police.
