Rep. Schreiber seeks local college students for advisory council

State Rep. Kevin Schreiber, D-York, is seeking college students who attend York-area colleges and universities to participate on his third Collegiate Advisory Council.

The council gives students in the York City area a platform to research, recommend and advocate for policy initiatives pertinent to Schreiber's district, York County and state, according to a news release from his office.

Student members will be appointed to a one-year term and will work with members of Schreiber's staff, who will provide support and guidance.

They will expand on work of the first two councils.

Members will meet at least once a month, with the first meeting slated for November, with Schreiber and his staff to discuss legislative issues and create a report on legislative policy or programmatic recommendations for consideration and potential implementation.

Applications are available at or by calling (717) 848-9595.

Completed applications should be submitted to Kyle Joines at by Friday.
