Vacancy on state Fish and Boat Commission board
The state Fish and Boat Commission is looking to fill a vacancy on its board to represent a district that includes York County.
To qualify, candidates must live in either York, Adams, Cumberland, Franklin, Lancaster, Lebanon or Perry counties and must be well-informed on the subjects of conservation, restoration, fishing and boating, according to a news release from Gov. Tom Wolf's office.
A term is four years, and members can serve three consecutive terms after being nominated by the governor and approved by the majority of the state Senate.
Commissioners aren't paid but do receive reimbursement for travel expenses, the release says.
The vacancy was created by the resignation of the sitting commissioner.
Anyone interested in applying for the seat is asked to send a resume with a cover letter outlining their desire to serve. It should be sent to Robb Miller, 400 Market Street, Seventh Floor, Harrisburg, PA 17101, or emailed to email@example.com.
Résumés and cover letters must be received by Friday, Oct. 30.
