Jackson Twp. market fire ruled arson
A Labor Day fire at a popular market in Jackson Township has been ruled arson.
The early Monday morning fire at Morningstar Marketplace was intentionally set near a bunch of wooden apple crates in an outdoor produce stand near a maintenance building, said Lt. David Lash of Northern York County Regional Police.
Firefighters were dispatched to the market at 5309 Lincoln Highway West about 3:30 a.m. They were able to contain the blaze to the stand, he said.
Police don't have any suspects, but they're hoping to pull surveillance footage from a camera.
A dollar amount of damage caused by the blaze was not available.
Anyone who saw suspicious activity or has information about the fire is asked to contact police at (717) 292-3647, or through nycrpd.org.
