State police: Photographer sexually assaulted child at Gifford Pinchot, possessed child porn

A Maryland man who owns a photography business is accused of sexually assaulting a child during a photo shoot at Gifford Pinchot State Park and, upon further police investigation, possessing child pornography, according to state police.

Jason Scott Torzok, 38, of Halethorpe, Maryland, is awaiting extradition to Pennsylvania after being arrested in Maryland, according to state police. He faces class-one felony charges of statutory sexual assault, involuntary deviate sexual intercourse with someone less than 16 years old, child pornography and unlawful contact with a minor; he also faces charges of tampering with evidence, corruption of minors and other related alleged crimes.

State police had received a report that Torzok, who operates JST Photography out of his home, had sexually assaulted a 13-year-old during a photo shoot at Gifford Pinchot State Park in Warrington Township on Aug. 14, according to a news release from police.

Pennsylvania State Police worked with their Maryland counterparts and Baltimore County Police to search Torzok's home, where police allege they seized "numerous electronic devices."

Anyone who has used JST photography or has any related information is encouraged to call state police at (717) 428-1011 and speak with Trooper Matthew Eicher.
