State police hosting Citizens' Police Academy in Delta

The Pennsylvania State Police will host a Citizens' Police Academy program from October to December in Delta.

The program is intended to expand citizens' knowledge and understanding of the law and explore police procedures from police perspective, according to a department press release.

Participants will meet every Monday from 6-8 p.m. for 10 weeks beginning Oct. 5 at the YWCA Community Senior Center, 5 Pendryus St., Suite 1. Class sizes are limited and applicants must be at least 18 years old.

Applications may be picked up at Troop H, York Station, 110 Trooper Court in Springfield Township, or electronic applications may be requested from Trooper Garcia at agarcia@pa.gov or Trooper Ed Asbury at easbury@pa.gov. The deadline for submission is Sept. 23.
