Police look for gender-bending West Manchester Twp. bank robber

West Manchester Township Police are searching for a gender-bending robber who made off with an undisclosed amount of money when he robbed the Members 1st Federal Credit Union on Thursday.

The man, described as a 5-foot-10 Hispanic or black male with a thin build, was dressed as a woman when he entered the 2145 White St. credit union at 3:14 p.m., according to a news release from police.

He handed a teller an handwritten note demanding cash and, after receiving a wad of bills, fled on foot, police said.

The man's disguise included black pants, a long-sleeved black blouse, dark sunglasses and a curly black or dark brown wig, police said.

What appears to be a white bra can seen protruding from the top of his blouse in one surveillance photograph released by police.

Anyone with information is asked to call police at (717) 792-9514.
