Coroner's office: York Twp. man killed in Manheim Twp. crash
A York Township man died Wednesday evening after the car he was driving crossed over the center line and hit another vehicle head on, according to the York County Coroner's Office.
Michael Golden Jr., 32, of Hudson Drive, was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash, which happened at about 5:09 p.m. in the 5000 block of Lineboro Road in Manheim Township, the coroner's office said.
Golden died of multiple blunt-force trauma after the Volkswagen Jetta he was driving eastbound crashed into a Jeep Wrangler, according to the coroner's office.
The wreck was called in as a crash with ejection and fire, according to York County 911. The coroner's office was summoned to the scene almost immediately after the first emergency responders got there.
The driver of the Jeep was taken to the hospital, according to a news release from police; the release did not provide information about that person's condition or identity.
There were no passengers in either car, according to police.
The family has been notified.
