Charges against a 42-year-old New Freedom man have been forwarded to the York County Court of Common Pleas after a police investigation allegedly uncovered more than 900 photos depicting child pornography on the man's computer.

Robert Corbin, according to Southern Regional police was charged with dissemination of child pornography, possession of child pornography and criminal use of a communication facility (such as a computer).

A two-month investigation culminated in a warrant and the search of Corbin's home, and he later admitted to being involved in child pornography for approximately 20 years, police said. Police were tipped by Internet Crimes Against Children, a task force formed to assist law enforcement agencies in investigating offenders who use the internet and other computer technology to sexually exploit children.

Corbin waived his right to a preliminary hearing before Senior District Judge Nancy Edie — who has taken on some of Judge Jeffrey Joy's cases while he is facing accusations of inappropriate contact with a woman who appeared in his court and the girlfriend of a man who appeared in his court — and was released on his own recognizance.
