Solid Waste Authority cancels electronics recycling this Saturday

The electronics recycling at the York County Solid Waste Authority, 2651 Blackbridge Road, scheduled for Saturday has been canceled because of the Labor Day holiday.

That means the next electronics recycling program will be held Saturday, Sept. 19, according to a news release from the authority.

The events, conducted 9 a.m. to noon on the first and third Saturdays monthly, are held at the authority's Yard Waste Transfer Facility, off Flour Mill Road in Manchester Township.

Items that will not be accepted are construction demolition, furniture, appliances, white goods, appliances containing Freon (dehumidifiers, air conditioners, refrigerators) or household hazardous waste.

For large quantities of electronics (more than a pickup truck load), call (717) 845-1066 to make arrangements before the event.
