Police: York-area trio tried to rob man right outside of judicial center

Two York City men and a Windsor Township woman had a quick trip to York County's central booking unit Friday evening after police arrested them on suspicion of attempting to rob somebody right outside the county's judicial center.

Davon Robert Davis of 610 S. Pershing Ave., Gilberto Hernandez Allen of 114 Willis Lane and Briana Kelly Fitzpatrick of 2930 Freysville Ave. have each been charged with one count of robbery by threat of immediate serious bodily injury, according to charging documents.

Police say the trio approached a man shortly after 6 p.m., and Allen demanded that the man give them everything he had.

Allen then swing a knife at the person, who took off, running away, pursued by Davis and Fitzpatrick, who had "surrounded" the victim, police allege.

The victim got away unhurt and with all his possessions, according to police.

Officers tracked down the trio at the corner of North George Street and West Clarke Avenue, and the victim told police they were the ones who tried to rob him, according to documents.

Police say the robbery occurred across the street at the corner of North George Street and East Clarke Avenue — right next to the York County Judicial Center, which contains the county's central booking unit, where arrestees are brought to be processed and arraigned on nights and weekends.

As it was both a night and the weekend, the three were brought there and arraigned;

Davis remains in York County Prison on $25,000 bail, Fitzpatrick on $50,000 and Allen on $15,000, according to prison records.
