Four people are being sought by police — but not for their taste in booze, which connoisseurs might consider criminal.

Rather, the foursome that quaffed watermelon-flavored drinks are wanted for allegedly burglarizing a Dover Township home, according to Northern York County Regional Police.

Investigators are closing in on them, thanks to the group leaving behind their empty Four Loko cans at the scene of the crime, Lt. David Lash said.

The burglary happened at a home in the 5100 block of Carlisle Road between Aug. 8 and 10, he said. A group of people broke in, stole some items and possibly partied at the home before leaving.

They left behind four empty cans of watermelon Four Loko, Lash said.

Investigators started checking local businesses that sell drinks by the can, and learned that prior to the burglary, four people bought four cans of that specific drink from the Weis Market on Roosevelt Avenue in West Manchester Township, he said.

In fact, Weis was the only business that sold exactly four of the watermelon drinks around that time, according to Lash.

Police on Friday released photos of the foursome buying the drinks and are asking for the public's help in identifying them.

If you recognize anyone in the photos, or have information about the burglary, you're asked to call either 911 or Northern Regional Police at (717) 292-3647. Or leave a tip online at nycrpd.org.
