People traveling northbound on Interstate 83 in the southern half of York County during the day should be on the lookout for lane restrictions, according to the state Department of Transportation.

The work will start Tuesday around Exit 4 — Shrewsbury — and will wind its way up to Mount Rose Avenue, which is Exit 18, according to a PennDOT news release.

The work will start in the right lane between exits 4 and 8, which is Glen Rock; then on Wednesday, it's scheduled to move over to the left lane between where it left off and Loganville, which is Exit 10, according to the release. And then on Thursday, it'll happen between Exit 14, which is the LEader Heights exit, and Mount Rose Avenue.

The work will take place between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m., the release states.

PennDOT asks that drivers be careful and slow down when entering a work zone.
