York City might get a little less buggy this week.

The York County West Nile Virus Program staff will conduct sprayings in York City on Wednesday, according to a news release.

They'll spray in the area south of West Market Street, west of South George Street, east of South Richland Avenue and north of West Springettsbury Avenue. They'll also spray the area east of Queen Street, west of South Harrison Street, and north of Prospect Street to the city limit.

Trucks will spray Permanone Ready-To-Use ULV in what the release says are concentrations "significantly below" what people are able to buy to spray in their homes.

If the weather doesn't cooperate, sprayings will happen Thursday.
