The first weekend in September will bring several road closings in York City.

During First Friday festivities on Sept. 4, the 100 block of East King Street will be closed to traffic from 4 p.m. until 9:30 p.m., according to a news release from the city. People won't be able to park on it during that time and for an additional half hour before that.

The first block of North Beaver Street will be closed to traffic from 4:30 p.m. until 9:30 p.m., and closed to parking from 3:30 p.m until 9:30 p.m., according to the release.

The next evening, the first block of North Grant Street will be closed from 10 a.m. until 8 p.m. for the Creek Fire Art Festival.

In all those areas, city police ask that drivers take care, as there may be large crowds.
