York Haven teenager charged in assault, robbery of three 13-year-olds

Police allege a York Haven teenager who told some kids he was going to sell them weed got a group of people to beat the kids up and rob them when the kids showed up to buy it.

Donovan Kane Rhule, 18, of 113 Front St., has been charged with robbery, aggravated assault and other related crimes, according to the criminal complaint filed Friday against him.

Rhule had agreed to sell three 13-year-olds some marijuana, according to charging documents. When the 13-year-olds showed up for their weed in the first block of South Main Street in Manchester at about 10 p.m. July 30, they found a group of at least five older teenagers, including Rhule, who beat them up and robbed them, police allege.

Two of the three victims had to go to the hospital. All of them had suffered scrapes and bruises to their faces and upper body from punches and kicks, and one of them suffered numerous facial fractures, according to police.

Police say the group of attackers stole $160, a cell phone, a wallet, a backpack, a watch and the shoes one of the kids was wearing.

Rhule remains in York County Prison on $15,000 bail, according to authorities.
