Start dates by school district

Students around York County return over the next couple of weeks, starting with the York Academy Regional Charter School on Monday morning. Here's the official list:

Central York School District: Kindergarten orientation and the first day of school for all students is scheduled for Wednesday, Aug. 26.

Dallastown Area School District: Kindergarten mini session and the first day school for all students is scheduled for Thursday, Aug. 27.

Dover Area School District: Kindergarten orientation and the first day of school for grades one through seven and grade nine is scheduled for Monday, Aug. 24. The first day of school for students in eighth grade and grades 10-12 is scheduled for Tuesday, Aug. 25.

Eastern York School District: The first day of school for all students is scheduled for Wednesday.

Hanover Public School District: The first day of school for all students is scheduled for Wednesday.

Northern York County School District: The first day of school for all students is scheduled for Monday, Aug. 31.

Northeastern School District: The first day of school for all students is scheduled for Thursday.

Red Lion Area School District: The first day of school for all students is scheduled for Tuesday, Aug. 25.

South Eastern School District: The first day of school for all students is scheduled for Thursday.

South Western School District: The first day of school for kindergarten through fifth grade is Tuesday, Aug. 25. The first day of school for students in grades six through 12 is scheduled for Wednesday, Aug. 26.

Southern York County School District: The first day of school for students in kindergarten through ninth grade is scheduled for Wednesday. The first day of school for students in grades 10-12 is scheduled for Thursday.

Spring Grove Area School District: The first day of school for all students is scheduled for Wednesday, Aug. 26.

West Shore School District: The first day of school for all students is scheduled for Tuesday, Aug. 25.

West York Area School District: Kindergarten orientation and the first day of school for all students is scheduled for Wednesday.

York City School District: The first day of school for students in grades one through 12 is scheduled for Monday, Aug. 24. The first day of school for students in pre-K and kindergarten is scheduled for Tuesday, Aug. 25.

York Suburban School District: The first day of school for students in kindergarten through sixth grade, ninth grade and new students is scheduled for Wednesday. The first day of school for students in grades seven, eight and 10-12 is scheduled for Thursday.
