York County Parks to present flintknapping program at Nixon

The York County Department of Parks and Recreation will present a flintknapping program, 2:30-4 p.m. Sunday at Nixon County Park.
Kirk Drier of Baltimore County Parks will present a hands-on demonstration of how ancient stone tools were manufactured in both the Old and New World.
Participants will get a chance to see stone tools and use stone axes, throwing sticks, a bow and arrow, a blow gun and the atlatl.
Admission is free and registration is not required, but children younger than 14 must be accompanied by an adult.
