Dillsburg man sends funds to Jamaica, scammed out of $700

State police are investigating a mail-in money scam that cost a Dillsburg man $700.

The man was called by actors who told him they would mail him $2.5 million if he were to wire them $700 to their account in Jamaica, police said. However, his down payment did not turn him into a multi-millionaire and he lost the money, according to a press release.

The suspects in the so-called "theft by deception" remain unknown.
