An unresponsive female was found lying near Tyler Run creek, which runs along the York College campus, according to an alert issued by the college.

Officers from the Spring Garden Township Police responded to the incident just after 6 p.m. Friday evening and pulled the disoriented female out of the water, according to the alert.

She made a statement that she may have been sexually assaulted. It was unclear whether she may have been assaulted on or off campus, or if it happened recently or in the past, as she was only semi-coherent, according to the alert.

She was transported to the hospital for treatment. No information about the female is known at this time and no witnesses to the incident have been found.

The Spring Garden Township Police continue to investigate.
