An unresponsive female was found in Tyler Run Creek, according to an alert sent out by the York College of Pennsylvania.

According to the release, officers from the Spring Garden Township Police responded to the incident just after 6 p.m. Friday evening and pulled the disoriented female out of the water.

She made a statement that she may have been sexually assaulted. It was unclear whether the female may have been assaulted on or off campus, or if it happened recently or in the past, as she was only semi-coherent.

The female was transported to the hospital for treatment. No information about the female is known at this time and no witnesses to the incident have been found.

The Spring Garden Township Police Department will continue the investigation.

York College issued the emergency warning as a precaution and reminded those on campus to remain vigiliant.
