It's going to be one of those days — the kind when the elderly, small children and people with respiratory ailments probably should just stay inside.

Today should be mostly sunny with a high near 92, according to the National Weather Service. However, with humidity factored in, it's going to feel more like 100 for a few hours this afternoon.

The Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection has issued a code orange air quality alert for today for the Susquehanna Valley.

That means air pollution in York County could be unhealthy for some people, such as children, the elderly and people with asthma, heart disease or other lung diseases.

The National Weather Service says the effects of air pollution can be minimized by avoiding strenuous activity or exercise outdoors.
