Gov. Wolf's father suffers heart attack
Gov. Tom Wolf's father suffered a "small heat attack" Wednesday morning but is doing fine, the governor said during an address at a Rotary Club of York luncheon at the Yorktowne Hotel in York City.
Bill Wolf is the longest-standing member of the club, said Marsha Bornt, club president, noting the elder Wolf served as president from 1966 to 1967.
The governor joked that his birth and his father joining the club, both of which happened in 1948, could be linked.
"The year I was born, he was trying to get out of the house," Tom Wolf joked.
Bill's Wolf's wife, Cornelia, and Pennsylvania first lady Frances Wolf were at his side in a hospital as the governor addressed the crowd, the governor said.
Tom Wolf, who was also at the hospital in the morning, said he planned to return following the luncheon.
A York Hospital spokeswoman said no information was available on a patient by the senior Wolf's name.
