Sharon Williams was unique and determined.

What the Mount Holly Springs woman loved most was being a mom.

Her daughter Lea, 3, was the apple of her eye, according to her sister, Crystal Dupert, 20, of Carlisle.

"She loved everybody she met, and everybody she met loved her," she said. "She was extremely caring. I remember her determination to do the best."

Williams died Thursday at the hands of a former boyfriend, Arthur Guise.

Guise, 31, of Dillsburg, came into the bar she was in and shot Williams, who had just returned from a day of tubing with friends.

He then turned the gun on himself in front of a crowd of people at the Flapjack's bar and restaurant off Route 15 in Dillsburg.

The incident was the third murder-suicide in York County this year.

While it shocked the small Dillsburg community, it has drawn an outpouring of support for William's young daughter.

Over the holiday weekend, a GoFundMe page helped raise more than $6,000 toward a memorial fund for Williams. The family was asking for just $6,000.

Dupert said her older sister was a very busy person, who balanced working full time and being a mother.

For her 16th birthday, Williams took her sister out for a day of beauty — a memory she has always cherished.

" We spent the whole day together," Dupert said. "Got our nails done, hair done."

Williams attended Boiling Springs High School, graduating in 2000, Dupert said. She later got her degree from Harrisburg Area Community College and worked as a medical assistant at Bent Creek Family Practice.

Funeral services will be held at 7 p.m. Monday in the Hollinger Funeral Home & Crematory, 501 N. Baltimore Ave., Mount Holly Springs, according to an online obituary.

Scott Osterhoudt, a bartender at Flapjack's, said Guise was a quiet guy and a regular customer.

Guise served in the Army and Army Reserve. He was last working at 84 Lumber.

According to an online obituary, Guise's funeral services will be held Tuesday at West Shore E-Free Church, 1345 Williams Grove Road, Mechanicsburg. Visitation will be from 3 to 7 p.m., followed by a memorial service.

The family asked those interested to make donations to stopsoldiersuicide.org or the Wounded Warrior Project.

Osterhoudt was working Thursday night when he heard the first shot. He said he turned around and witnessed the rest of it.

Osterhoudt said the incident has traumatized him.

"I'm still trying to make sense of it," he said. "Why did this happen here and to her."

On Friday, the restaurant reopened to give the community a chance to talk about what happened.

No food was served.

Thursday's was the third murder/suicide in York County this year — something that's of deep concern for Coroner Pam Gay.

"It's very sad for the families," she said. "We often have one or two a year — last year, 2014, we also had three."

Gay said there have been eight deaths this year just from the three murder-suicide cases. Including two other deaths, there have been 10 domestic-related deaths so far this year.

In April, York County officials ruled an incident involving two dead men and a woman as a double murder suicide.

Police found Donnell Graham, 35, dead from a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head. His wife, 33-year-old Shaquana Graham, and 25-year-old Kristopher Pittman were also found dead at the Quality Inn & Suites in Springettsbury Township. Their deaths were ruled as homicides.

The couple lived in the 1500 block of Randow Road in Spring Garden Township.

In May, Martin Kepner, 60, fatally shot his estranged wife, Laurie Kuykendall Kepner, and her friend Barbara Schrum in Warrington Township before turning the gun on himself, according to the York County Coroner's Office.

Families in the latest incident have been notified of the deaths. While there will be no autopsies, Carroll Township Police will continue to investigate the incident.
