Penn-Mar Human Services has expanded its portfolio of properties by purchasing a 35,000-square-foot warehouse in New Freedom.

The upscale industrial warehouse is located within the Stonebridge Business Park at 888 Far Hills Drive, according to a news release. Former New Freedom-based sporting goods retailer Shenk & Tittle last operated out of the property.

Rock Commercial Real Estate brokered the deal that sees Harlowe Prindle sell the warehouse to Penn-Mar for $2.989 million, according to the release.

Penn-Mar Human Services is an organization that provides support for more than 400 adults with intellectual disabilities through residential, educational and employment programs in southern York County and northern Maryland.

“This move allows us to not only meet our current needs but our future needs as well,” Penn-Mar president and CEO Gregory Miller said in the release. “As we move toward our goal of full inclusion, our new facility will allow us to better assist each person we support to increase their level of participation in our community.”
