Sara Glines, president of the York Newspaper Co., will be moving to North Carolina to become publisher of the News and Observer in Raleigh, according to an email sent by Gannett Co. Inc.

Glines has served as the YNC president for more than four years, overseeing The York Daily Record, The Chambersburg Public Opinion, The Lebanon Daily News, The Hanover Evening Sun and business operations of The York Dispatch.

Glines' last day in York will be Friday, according to the email, which added that the search for a new president will begin immediately. Jared Bean, the vice president of multimedia sales, will serve as interim president.
