Lancaster film producers leaving mark on Sharknado Week

A Lancaster-based visual effects and film production house played a major role in the production of "Atomic Shark," SyFy Channel's latest movie, which will kick off Sharnado Week on Sunday.

Lancaster-based Trick Digital created the original soundtrack for "Atomic Shark."

Trick Digital was involved with digital effects, photography and the soundtrack for the movie, which is about a radioactive shark attacking and irradiating the beaches of southern California, according to a company press release.

"Atomic Shark" will first air Sunday, July 24 at 9 p.m. and then again July 27 at 5 p.m. and July 29 at 9 p.m.

Trick Digital has also worked on three other movies that will air on SyFy Channel during the week, including "Beast of the Bering Sea" (July 26 at 7 a.m.), "Snakehead Swamp" (July 26 at 1 p.m.) and "Zombie Shark" (July 26 at 7 p.m. and July 30 at 11 p.m.).

The week ends with the premiere of "Sharknado the 4th Awakens" on July 31 at 8 p.m.
